'Ahuimanu Elementary School is located in the suburban Kaneohe community of Temple Valley. The school provides an integrated thematic standards based curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking skills and behaviors. This curriculum encourages students to make connections and apply knowledge across the various content areas.

The S.T.A.R. Program is a character education program. The STAR stands for Stop, Think, Act and Reflect. As part of the S.T.A.R. program, an assembly is held at the end of the cycle that is determined by the Character Education Committee. The S.T.A.R themes are taught together with the General Learner Outcomes and Thinking Behaviors. At the end of the year an ALL STAR assembly is held to honor those students who have achived all of the character qualities that will help them lead successful lives.
'Ahuimanu Elementary School PEP (Peer Education Program)
PEP is an advanced health elective course that is based on the Advocacy Health Standard. Students are trained on important teen issues and how to educate their peers on making the right choices. They learn how to make presentations, to share information in other classrooms and other schools within the community. They do school-wide activities such as lunchtime assemblies, bulletin announcements and campaigning for a healthy cause. (e.g., Great American Smoke-out sign waving)
