Aliamanu Elementary School is committed to excellence. We are a Positive Action School with strong, dedicated teachers who stress standards-based education. Besides regular education classes, SPED and ESLL classes, the school offers Chinese, Hawaiian Studies, PE, Reading, Technology, and a G/T program of science for lower elementary students and a media communication program for upper elementary students.
About 70% of our students are military dependents (primarily coming from Halsey, Caitlin, Radford Terrace, Doris Miller, Maloelap and Moanalua Terrace.) We have a very supportive community as witnessed by a strong PTA and SCC. We have active military partnerships with the HAFB 15th Communication Squad and the Naval Information Operation Center as well as community partnerships with Forest City and Island Family Christian Church.
The school has a Transition Center to help with our high rate of transiency. We also have a Primary School Adjustment Project (PSAP) to help our younger children adjust better in school. We have a Homework Club which meets after school to help students in grades 1-6 who need additional help.
