Kalaheo Elementary School is located in the peaceful highlands of Kaua'i and serves children from Kalaheo, Lawai Valley Estates, Lawai, Brydeswood and Kukuiolono. Although most of the buildings are over 50 years old, they are beautiful and quaint. We offer a standards based curriculum with GT classes for math and reading. Along with academic excellence, students excel in the performing arts.
Kalaheo provides enrichment music classes and a drama club. In the spring of 2006 we performed The Princess and the Pea. Kalaheo is the only Kaua'i elementary school with a gymnasium. This school year we ran a basketball league in which 140 students participated. A new state-of-the art library was completed in the fall of 1997 replacing the original library which was damaged by Hurricane Iniki in 1992. Kalaheo Elementary School has a fully formed School Community Council.
