Leihoku Elementary School is located in Waianae, Oahu, and was established in 1980. The Hawaiian word Leihoku means 'a wreath of stars' and describes how the people work together in pursuit of high aspirations. The beautiful campus has five main buildings surrounded by lush Hawaiian plants in a courtyard setting. The school has received numerous campus beautification awards. Its students are mostly of Hawaiian or part-Hawaiian ancestry, and a little more than half qualify for Federal meal subsidies. The mission of Leihoku is to "Take Care of Every Child, Every Time.
