Mauka Lani Elementary, home of the Mountain Lions, sits high on the slopes of Makakilo in the Leeward District. The school is currently at capacity in grades K-5. Communication skills of reading, writing, and speaking are emphasized. Furthermore, opportunities for students to become active, healthy, creative, independent learners and thinkers are provided. An active Student Council and Junior Police Officer program provides leadership roles as students plan and implement various student activities. Students participate in the Kapolei Complex Drama productions, track meet and basketball tournaments. A strong school community has been created through support from parents, business and a dedicated faculty and staff. Students at Mauka Lani continue to strive toward the vision of becoming contributing members of our democratic society.
