Mililani Middle School welcomed our first students in school year 1998-99 as the state's first year round multi-track school. The multitrack schedule was instituted to meet the growing enrollment capacity which exceeds the school's facilities. Located in large suburban community, Mililani Middle services students from feed elementary schools: Kipapa, Mililani 'Ike, Mililani Mauka, Mililani Uka and Mililani Waena.
Our philosophy is centered around the needs of adolescents and offers a nurturing, safe, and challenging academic environment. Core teams provide opportunities for student centered learning, integrated curricula, varied instructional strategies, flexible scheduling and a rich exploratory program. After-school enrichment opportunities are also available to our students.
The Western Association of Schools and Colleges granted Mililani Middle School a six year term of accreditation with a midterm review expiring on June 30, 2011. Utilizing the accreditation report and other data, the school year 05- 06 we focused our energies on consistent implementation of standard based curriculum across the tracks and intra grade levels. A pilot of Curriculum Mapping in all content areas assisted teachers in tracking their teaching and implementation of our standards.
