Nanaikapono Elementary School

Nanaikapono Elementary School was established in 1933 on 17 acres of beachfront property in Nanakuli. In July 2004, Nanaikapono moved to a new site directly mauka of the original campus. Students, parents and faculty are thrilled with beautiful new facilities, central air and state-of-the-art technological systems.

Nanaikapono means Look to the Righteous, and is the foundation of our philosophy, which is to provide every child with learning opportunities necessary to develop physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially. Instruction is facilitated through our standards-based literacy curriculum, the Nanaikapono Comprehensive Curriculum. The Nanaikapono School-Community Museum, unique in the state, provides cultural experiences for the school and services other communities as well.

Partnerships with the University of Hawaii, ETS Pulliam, and Kamehameha Schools provide support services for students, parents and teachers. Students receive a variety of tutorial services; parents participate in volunteer services and parenting workshops; and teachers are provided with valuable professional development opportunities.
