Waipahu High School serves families living in a six square mile region bounded by Kamehameha Highway, West Loch, Kunia Road, Village Park Subdivision, and the H-1. Neighborhoods include Waipahu, Waikele, Robinson Heights, Royal Kunia, and Village Park. The economic level of families ranges from low to moderately high income. The student population is primarily Filipino followed by Samoan, Part-Hawaiian, and other ethnicities.
Waipahu High School was accredited in spring 2005 by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and received a six-year term with a mid-term review.
